A clear return path when something is not right.

TailTrek offers free returns and exchanges for eligible products within 30 calendar days of delivery. This policy explains the return window, product-condition requirements, exchange process, refund method, special order concerns, and the information needed to begin a request.

Return Eligibility

Product condition and order details matter.

TailTrek’s 30-day policy is intended to provide flexible aftercare while protecting product hygiene, safety, completeness, and the integrity of returned pet equipment.

Eligible condition

Items should return clean, complete, and undamaged.

Unless the product arrived damaged, defective, or incorrect, an eligible return should be in substantially the same condition in which it was delivered.

  • Clean, unwashed, unaltered, and free from avoidable damage.
  • Free from excessive pet hair, odor, stains, soil, or chewing.
  • Returned with original components, accessories, manuals, and packaging.
  • Accompanied by proof of purchase or identifiable order information.
Fit assessment

Brief indoor fitting is permitted where necessary.

A collar, harness, carrier, bed, garment, or similar size-dependent item may be carefully assessed indoors when needed to confirm fit.

The item must remain clean, undamaged, unwashed, and suitable for return. Outdoor use, extended wear, chewing, staining, or material damage may affect eligibility.

Health and hygiene

Used hygiene-sensitive products may be restricted.

For pet and customer safety, used feeding, grooming, cleaning, bathing, oral-care, consumable, or other hygiene-sensitive products may be ineligible after opening or use.

This restriction does not remove remedies for products that arrived damaged, defective, materially different, or incorrect, or where applicable law requires another outcome.

Complete product

Return every component supplied with the item.

Products sold as sets, kits, bundles, or multi-part equipment should be returned with all original pieces unless TailTrek provides different instructions.

  • Straps, clips, adapters, removable covers, bowls, and inserts.
  • Charging cables, batteries, electronic parts, and mounting pieces.
  • Manuals, safety information, storage bags, and branded packaging.
  • Promotional gifts included specifically with the returned product.
Promotional orders

Automatic discounts do not normally remove return eligibility.

Products purchased using TailTrek’s automatic 15% subscriber discount or automatic 20% selected-product promotion remain subject to the same eligibility standards unless the product was clearly identified as final sale before purchase.

An approved refund is based on the amount actually paid after discounts, together with any refundable tax.

Restricted items

Some purchases cannot be returned for preference-based reasons.

The following may be ineligible unless damaged, defective, incorrect, materially misdescribed, or otherwise protected by law:

  • Personalized, engraved, customized, or made-to-order items.
  • Gift cards, digital products, or services already supplied.
  • Opened consumable or hygiene-sensitive products.
  • Items damaged through misuse, neglect, alteration, or improper care.

Resolution Lanes

Different order problems follow different paths.

Contact TailTrek as soon as a problem is discovered and no later than 30 calendar days after delivery. Keep the product, packaging, shipping label, and supporting photographs available during review.

Changed your mind or selected the wrong size An eligible clean and complete item may be returned for a refund or exchanged, subject to inventory availability.

Product arrived damaged or defective Preserve all packaging and provide clear photographs or video showing the problem and the product identification details.

Order has not shipped within the promised time TailTrek may request consent to a revised shipping date. If the delay is not accepted, the unshipped amount will be refunded.

From returned product to payment account.

TailTrek will notify you after the returned item has been received and reviewed. Approval depends on the product condition, return eligibility, completeness, and the circumstances of the request.

Important Policy Notes

These additional terms help customers understand cancellations, exchanges, gift purchases, incomplete returns, delayed refunds, and policy enforcement.

01 Order cancellations and address changes Contact support immediately after ordering

TailTrek processes orders quickly. A cancellation, product change, or address correction is not guaranteed after an order enters processing, fulfillment, or shipment.

When cancellation is no longer possible, the customer may need to receive the order and begin an eligible return. TailTrek is not responsible for delivery problems caused by incorrect information submitted by the customer, except as required by law.

02 Exchanges and replacement inventory Requested alternatives remain subject to availability

Exchanges depend on current product, size, color, and model availability. TailTrek does not reserve replacement inventory until the exchange has been approved.

If the requested replacement is unavailable, TailTrek may offer another available option or issue an approved refund to the original payment method.

03 Gift purchases Refunds are normally connected to the original transaction

A gift recipient may contact TailTrek with the purchaser’s name, order information, and product details to discuss available return or exchange options.

Monetary refunds are generally issued to the original payment method. TailTrek may offer another lawful resolution where appropriate.

04 Unauthorized or incomplete returns Products should not be mailed without instructions

A product sent without authorization, identifying information, required components, or the correct return route may experience delays and may not qualify for a refund.

TailTrek is not responsible for returns sent to an incorrect address or by an unapproved method.

05 Late or missing refunds Confirm the refund notice before contacting the bank

After TailTrek confirms that a refund has been initiated, check the original payment account and allow the financial provider time to post the credit.

If the refund still does not appear after the provider’s normal processing period, contact the bank or card issuer and then contact TailTrek with the order and refund confirmation details.

06 Return abuse, fraud, and excessive damage TailTrek may protect the integrity of its return program

TailTrek may deny, limit, investigate, or require additional verification for requests involving suspected fraud, product substitution, altered documents, repeated policy abuse, unauthorized payment activity, deliberate damage, or materially false information.

This provision does not limit non-waivable consumer rights or remedies available under applicable law.

07 Consumer rights and policy updates Mandatory legal protections continue to apply

Nothing in this policy excludes or limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where mandatory consumer law provides a stronger remedy, that law controls.

TailTrek may update this policy to reflect changes in products, services, operations, or legal requirements. The policy applicable to an order is generally the version in effect when the order was placed, unless another treatment is required by law.

Include your full name, order number, email address used for the order, product name, reason for the request, and the resolution you prefer. Attach clear photographs when the item is damaged, defective, incorrect, incomplete, or materially different from the product ordered.

Keep the product, packaging, labels, accessories, and shipping materials until TailTrek confirms the next step. Do not send passwords or complete payment card numbers.
