TailTrek Accessibility Statement

A more usable store for every pet household.

TailTrek is committed to providing a welcoming digital shopping experience for people with disabilities. We work to improve the accessibility, clarity, navigation, and compatibility of our website so customers can explore pet equipment, understand product information, complete purchases, and receive support with greater independence.

Ongoing accessibility work WCAG 2.2 Level AA target Keyboard-aware design 24/7 support available
01 / PERCEIVABLE

Information should be available in more than one way.

We work to support readable text, meaningful image descriptions, sufficient contrast, and content that adapts to different screens.

02 / OPERABLE

Controls should work without relying on a mouse.

We aim to support keyboard navigation, understandable focus order, visible focus indicators, and appropriately sized controls.

03 / UNDERSTANDABLE

Shopping information should be clear and predictable.

We organize product, policy, navigation, form, and support content to reduce confusion and make actions easier to understand.

04 / ROBUST

The store should work with modern assistive technology.

We aim to use semantic code and accessible patterns that can be interpreted by current browsers and commonly used assistive tools.

Our Accessibility Practice

Practical measures across content, navigation, and commerce.

TailTrek aims to use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 at Level AA as a reference point for ongoing improvements. Accessibility work may include design reviews, content checks, theme updates, keyboard testing, automated scans, and manual evaluation.

Navigation and structure

Clear routes through the store.

We work to maintain consistent navigation, logical heading levels, descriptive page titles, meaningful labels, and a reading order that remains understandable across desktop, tablet, and mobile.

  • Keyboard-accessible menus and controls where supported.
  • Visible focus treatment for interactive elements.
  • Descriptive labels for links, buttons, and form fields.
  • No intentional keyboard traps in custom TailTrek content.
Visual clarity

Readable content without sacrificing the brand.

TailTrek uses restrained colors, scalable typography, responsive spacing, and clear visual hierarchy to support reading and comprehension.

  • Text and important controls are designed with contrast in mind.
  • Content is intended to remain usable when text is enlarged.
  • Color is not intended to be the only method of conveying meaning.
Images and media

Visual content should carry useful context.

We aim to provide meaningful alternative text for informative images and avoid unnecessary descriptions for purely decorative visuals.

When media communicates important information, we work to provide an accessible text-based equivalent or another reasonable alternative.

Forms and checkout preparation

Important actions should be clearly identified.

We work to use labels, instructions, understandable field names, clear button text, and useful error feedback for forms and account interactions within our control.

  • Required information should be identified clearly.
  • Error messages should explain what needs attention.
  • Customers may contact support when a digital process is difficult.
  • Checkout features may also depend on Shopify and payment providers.
Motion and interaction comfort

Movement should support the experience, not obstruct it.

TailTrek custom sections use restrained motion and are designed to respect reduced-motion preferences where technically supported.

We avoid intentionally adding rapid flashing content and work to keep animated interfaces understandable without requiring motion.

Responsive access

Content should remain usable on smaller screens.

Custom TailTrek layouts are designed to remain within the viewport and adapt safely across mobile, tablet, laptop, and large desktop widths.

  • Typography scales responsively.
  • Grids collapse without forcing horizontal page scrolling.
  • Touch targets and spacing are adjusted for smaller devices.
  • Content remains available without device-specific orientation.

Compatibility and Limitations

Accessibility can involve systems beyond TailTrek’s direct control.

We aim to support recent versions of major browsers and commonly used assistive technologies. Individual results may vary because of browser settings, device configuration, assistive technology, third-party applications, and external service updates.

01
Third-party applications Reviews, tracking, chat, payments, embedded media, analytics, or other applications may be developed and maintained by independent providers.
02
Shopify and checkout services Parts of the commerce platform and checkout experience are provided by Shopify or payment services and may change independently of the TailTrek theme.
03
Product and supplier content Product specifications, media, instructions, or packaging supplied by third parties may occasionally require further accessibility improvement.
04
Ongoing correction When a barrier is identified, TailTrek will review the issue and work toward a reasonable correction or alternative method of service where possible.

Accessibility Feedback

Tell us when something is difficult to use.

Accessibility feedback helps TailTrek identify barriers that may not appear during routine reviews. Support is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and accessibility requests are reviewed as promptly as reasonably possible.

01
Identify the location Share the page title, product name, section, form, button, or action where the issue occurred.
02
Describe the barrier Explain what you expected to do, what happened, and any error message or unavailable information.
03
Include useful technical details When comfortable, mention the device, browser, operating system, assistive technology, and preferred response method.
04
Request an alternative TailTrek can help provide product information, order support, or another reasonable communication method where available.

Statement Details

How TailTrek approaches accessibility over time.

This statement describes TailTrek’s current accessibility direction, feedback process, and ongoing improvement approach.

01 What accessibility standard does TailTrek reference? WCAG 2.2 Level AA is used as an improvement target

TailTrek aims to use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 Level AA as a reference point when reviewing and improving website content and custom theme experiences.

This is an ongoing target rather than a representation that every page, application, integration, or third-party component currently satisfies every success criterion.

02 How is accessibility evaluated? Reviews may combine automated and manual methods

TailTrek may use theme reviews, keyboard checks, contrast evaluation, responsive testing, content inspection, automated scanning, and feedback from customers or support interactions.

Automated tools alone cannot identify every accessibility issue, so practical review and customer feedback remain important.

03 Can TailTrek provide an alternative way to receive help? Reasonable support alternatives may be available

When a website barrier prevents access to product information, order assistance, or customer support, contact TailTrek by email or telephone and explain the alternative format or assistance that would be useful.

Availability depends on the request, the information involved, technical limitations, and applicable law.

04 Does this statement cover third-party websites? Independent services maintain their own accessibility practices

This statement applies to the TailTrek online experience within TailTrek’s control. Independent websites, applications, platforms, carriers, payment providers, and social networks may maintain separate accessibility policies and technical systems.

05 When will this statement be reviewed? It may be updated as the store and accessibility work evolve

TailTrek may revise this statement to reflect website changes, accessibility reviews, new services, customer feedback, technical improvements, or updated legal and industry guidance.

The current statement is effective June 14, 2026.

TailTrek’s accessibility work is ongoing. This statement is intended to communicate our current approach and does not replace rights or remedies available under applicable law.
